I know you are dealing with a lot lately... a lot of emotions, changes, and decisions. Humanity is being called to "take note" and the volatility is high. You might be feeling Zoomed-out, fidgety, your brain and body taken over by a kind of lethargy even though you are doing so much. You may be applying all the "self-care" techniques you know that usually work for you, but lately... not so much.
Whatever the case may be, I have to let you in on a little secret. There is more growth required!
The level of volatility, uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity in the world we face, creates a state in our hearts and minds that often looks chaotic. It's a tough place to be and can lead to stress and anxiety which, over time, can take its toll. Our central nervous systems are hyper-aroused, working on overdrive. It wasn't made to do that so it is incumbent on us to consider practices that enable us to be resilient.
As you might know, I responded to the onslaught of COVID-19 with an invitation to join me every Wednesday evening at 8 p.m. Eastern on Zoom where we could meet, de-stress, and calm our central nervous systems. We're in our twelfth week together having a great time exploring different mindfulness practices and meditations.
But what I am really excited about is my decision to go a step further.
Today I am announcing a new service for my community, for YOU!
Starting Tuesday, June 23 from 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. Eastern, I will be offering a new series called, The Wisdom Workshops. Each month I will facilitate an online workshop on a topic that helps you develop the knowledge and practices necessary to feel responsive, confident and capable to navigate your work and life... no matter what.
The intention of these monthly workshops is to explore topics that are relevant to you becoming more resilient, confident and empowered to meet the volatility, uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity of today’s world.
Workshops are a chance to take a deeper dive on a topic and learn from each other. And you know me, I will not only teach but create a context for the learning to go deep... something that will expand your experience for the long term.
You deserve a great life and the Wisdom Workshops will be a context for you to learn new skills, empower and activate your genius, and create new ways of dealing with your work and life.
Here are the first 4 workshop topics:
The Strength of Your Inner Life
June 23, 2020
A thriving tree that has deep roots can weather any storm. So can you if you cultivate your inner strength. We will explore the inner game tools and mindsets to prevent you from spinning out; get up after a fall, get clarity when you're confused, and settle so you can see things through.
July 28, 2020
Radical Compassion is the notion of fundamentally showing up with ourselves without judgment, staying present to our feelings and nurturing our needs. This improves our relationship to ourselves and others. We're so used to forcing ourselves through crisis, feeling not enough or paralyzed by fear, or overproducing. The result... we don't face what we need to face in order to get to the best solutions that we need. We will learn how Radical Compassion can release your mindset (and heart) to the intelligence and wisdom you need to overcome the challenges of our volatile and complex times.
Know Your Saboteur and Engage Your Sage
August 25, 2020
Want to understand why there are times when you just can't achieve your true potential? We will dive deep into exploring what stops you from showing up as your best self and wrestling that Inner Critic. Learn ways to not be fooled by these Saboteurs (Inner Judge, Pleaser, or Victim), and allow your Inner Sage to guide you.
The Power of Optimism
September 29, 2020
Being positive during the time of COVID (or any other uncertainty) is difficult. But focusing on the negative can drain your energy, attention, and enthusiasm. Learn the myth and the truth that is at the core of optimism and come away with a superpower that fuels your problem-solving, creativity and relationships.
All are 7:30-9:00 p.m. Eastern (6:30 Central, 5:30 Mountain, 4:30 Pacific.)
I hope you are as juiced as I am to expand our skill sets and share in the experience of learning together.
I really do hope you will join me. If you know of someone else, a friend, colleague or family member who might be interested, then please pass along.
I know together we can move the needle in our common humanity.
